Prajavani is a leading daily newspaper of Karnataka. This newspaper is very popular in southern districts of Karnataka. Popular columns/caricatures like ‘Pada Sampada’, ‘Chinakurali’ distinguished this magazine. Current political and economic issues are discussed in Prajavani at national and international level.
Prajavani was one of the most important Kannada dailies started after independence. In 1948 with the English daily “Deccan Herald”, Mr. K.N. Guruswami owned The Printers Mysore Ltd. Started broadcasting. Under the editorship of B. Puttaswamayya, the present K.N. Prajavani went on unceasingly till Shanta Kumar.
