For talented students undertaking undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Natural and Basic Sciences, INSPIRE Scholarship offers 10,000 scholarships every year.
Under SHE, each selected candidate will get 80,000 annually as a scholarship to pursue any subject of natural or basic sciences.
The 2022 Inspire Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) is a scholarship program implemented by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. It is noteworthy that this is a scholarship scheme under Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE), a flagship program of DST.
Total Scholarship Value
80,000 per annum for selected students in cash payable is 60,000 per annum
Benefits
20,000 will be paid as summer time attachment fee to candidates undertaking summer time research project
Important dates
The scholarship is announced every year in mid-October and ends at the end of December. INSPIRE Scholarship for Higher Education 2022 has been announced. Find below the table indicating the tentative dates of the scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for SHE, applicants must have passed 12th standard and must have pursued courses in Natural Science in B.Sc. or Integrated M.Sc. level. Detailed information about the eligibility criteria for this scholarship is given below.
Applicants should be between 17-22 years of age.
The candidate should be in the top 1% of successful students in terms of aggregate marks in his/her 12th class board examination.
Applicants must be enrolled in Natural and Basic Sciences courses at BSc, BS and Integrated MSc/MS level in the same year as 12th pass.
Applicants with top 10,000 rankers in joint entrance examination of IIT, AIEEE (top 20,000 rankers) and CBSE-Medical (AIPTM) and have chosen to study natural/basic sciences are eligible.
Candidates admitted to pursue courses at the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER), National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Department of Basic Sciences Atomic Energy Center (DAE-CBS) Mumbai University in Natural/Basic Sciences leading to B.Sc. and M.Sc. Degrees are also eligible.
