Aadhaar is now considered as the most important identity document in the country. As proof of address, it is becoming mandatory to avail benefits under various schemes offered by the government. Apart from this it is also necessary to obtain other documents and services like passport and bank locker.

An e-Aadhaar card is a password protected electronic copy of Aadhaar that is digitally signed by the UIDI, which ensures the authenticity of the card. It can be downloaded from UIDAI official website through three methods. You can download using your Aadhaar Number, Registration Number or Date of Birth. So let’s know how to download.

How to Download E&-Aadhaar Card Using Aadhaar Number?

  • Step 1: Access Aadhaar official website or https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/genricDownloadAadhaar link.
  • Step 2: Clicking on Aadhaar Number option.
  • Step 3: Next, enter 12-digit Aadhaar number, security code and then click on ‘Send OTP’ option to get one time password on registered mobile number.
  • Step 4: Enter the received OTP and then click on ‘Verify and Download’ option.
  • Step 5: After the verification is done, a password-protected PDA file of the Aadhaar card will be found in the download folder. To open the file, an eight-character password needs to be entered. Password The first four letters of your name should be in capital letters and the year of birth.

How to Download E&-Aadhaar Card Using Date of Birth?

  • Step 1: Visit the Aadhaar website or https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/retrieve-eid-uid.
  • Step 2: Enter the username. Then add the registered email id or mobile number. Then add the security code.
  • Step 3: Click on Send OTP option.
  • Step 4: Then enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number and click on Verify OTP option.
  • Step 5: You will get a message stating that the Aadhaar number has been sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Step 6: Open the e-Aadhaar page on the official UIDI website.
  • Step 7: Enter your registered mobile number, your 28-digit Enrollment ID or 12-digit Aadhaar number, security code and tap on ‘Send OTP’ option.
  • Step 8: Enter the OTP you received on your registered mobile number and click on the Verify and Download option to download your e-Aadhaar card.

How to download e-adhar card using enrollment number?

  • Step 1: Visit the official UIDI website or https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/retrieve-eid-uid.
  • Step 2: Now click on Download Aadhaar option then you will be redirected.
  • Step 3: Enter your 28-digit Enrollment ID and Security Code here. And click on ‘Send OTP’ option to generate OTP.
  • Step 4: Now enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number and click on ‘Verify and Download’ option. A copy of e-adhar card will be downloaded.
